This was quite a week for Risa Nye, Writer.
I had two pieces in EatDrinkFilms, and one in Berkeleyside this week. In case you missed them, despite my best efforts to broadcast through social media, here they are:
If you are a fan of “The Princess Bride,” I think you’ll enjoy learning about the new book on the making of the film. It’s called As You Wish, and was written by Cary Elwes. I saw him speak at Book Passage in SF and there is a video of his interview here too.
On a visit to ICHI Sushi, I had the opportunity to talk with co-owners Tim and Erin, and to taste some of the dishes that have made this place such a favorite in San Francisco.
Back in Berkeley, I revisited Corso–one of my favorite places. This time the focus was on cocktails, but the food is amazing!
A long time ago–like while I was in high school–a friend asked me what I thought I’d end up doing. I said I would like to write someplace where I could look out and see the ocean. And that is exactly what I did on a spectacular birthday weekend, November 2014.
What a grand week!
It really was, Laura!
Laura,
Yes, indeed!
Hey Risa — Oh that Cary Elwes. He was the masked marauder by which I compared all other masked marauders in my life. Sigh.
Shannon, he is still dreamy today!
