Joining the Hanukkah/Thanksgiving mash-up along with others today, I borrowed a recipe for this post. Instead of socks (always a welcome gift on Hanukkah)
I am offering 8 things for which I am thankful. (Note to kids: you may still get socks. You’ll have to wait and see.)
I am thankful:
For Magnificent, magical Madeleine
For Fabulous, funny Fenton
For Extraordinary, exceptional Ezra (who should make his mama thankful by taking a long nap today!)
For not having to cook a damn thing this year (baking, yes; cooking, no)
For having wonderful kids-in-law
For my loyal, supportive friends and extended family
For my three thoughtful, generous grown-up kids (my Amazon wish list is updated, by the way)
And for the guy who believed that slow and steady wins the race: in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, by my side for four decades.
To any readers out there, if you’re looking (and even if you’re cooking), I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
Bonus thanks to my fellow November bloggers: we are almost at the finish line!
I am thankful that I have, through this blogging challenge, gotten to know you and your perspective on life better! Yeah…we might just make it!
Likewise, Ruth! And we will stand tall at the end of this month!
Thankful to have been on this November journey with you! Happy Thanksgiving!
Right back atcha!
It has been a joy Risa to go on this journey with you!
We had fun, didn’t we?
